Dear BoG Chair.  

 

1. Your call for volunteers is uplifting and I would hope that there will be opportunities to contribute. I was a member of the Governing Body of  .... Primary School in  ....  in 1975 when my two daughters were there.  I offered an after-school activity on the solar planets.  I was a ....... management lecturer at .... University.

4. I hold a Master of Education degree (Edinburgh, 1980s.  My six year stay there included being the Director of the Edinburgh .... Centre.

7. I was an OU part time tutor to the postgraduate Educational Management course and soon became a tutor moderator and examiner 1986.  I was Head of Faculty of Community Studies at ..... College.

10. In 1989 I set up a company and operated in a dozen countires within tourism  development.  I volunteered within the  British Executive Service Overseas, [now attached to the Voluntary Service Overseas].

13. There were four postings occupying five months: St Petersburg, Ukraine, Ho Chi Minh City, Nepal.

My overseas experience included colleges and universities and in 1992 I became a Professor Honoris Causa in Lucerne, Switzerland after giving a series of lectures on Brillat-Savarin.  The opening of the Estates General May 5, 1789 in the Salle des Menus Plaisirs in Versailles.  Savarin was there. more

    A six month venture in SW Poland in 1994 combined tourism management and development with volunteering as a teacher of English and Science in two schools.

19. I retired in 2000 to become an unpaid carer to my late wife. She died in 2017.  I have lived in  .... for over five years near the school, in  .. . Road.

22. HT is my next port of call who will learn that I have a large collection of astronomy teaching aids and books for primary pupils.
