- First contact was made in an email to the Board of Governors - BoG - on 28 April 2023.
- The Head Teacher - HT - and I met on 30 April and HT proposed a Science Club.
- Due to the summer holiday and DBS check, the first session took place on 4 October.
- The first sign of negativity was shown by the Science teacher - ST - who made no social comment whatsoever. Not even a thank you.
- Within what was to become a plague of emails which centred on a complete lack of original planning on the part of HT, I was given the school resource centre - RC - essentially a corridor to the playground and part of the fire escape route.
- The second session was a complete disaster due to endless lines of pupils heading for the playground.
- The final session took place on 4 October. This was the outline. "Final" in the sense of the plan being based on the academic year.
- The page ended with "Quite different results due to the constant flow of children to the playground and back. See update here."
- More emails ensued. Because I had received no email saying do not come, I attended RC .
- Pupils had evidently been told not to attend. Eventually ST arrived. A negative conversation took place. I refrained from indicting her over the lack of telephone use to save me a journey with all my apparatus in the car.
- I wrote to HT requesting a meeting during which HT was addressed in unambigous terms. I made it clear that HT could find another school for me - mentioning a shortage of classrooms.
- Despite the raging sea of negativity, I asked HT for another meeting. No reply. It would have centred on my willingness to continue. Even in the RC!
